books i read this year

1. the lost hero (percy jackson) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

after reading the first five books i was just expecting a following that would be boring and predictable, instead the plot actually surprised me and i liked it a lot

2. the atlas six ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

plot twists, always mysterious and the feeling you want to know everything right now so bad. can’t wait until it gets translated in my mother tongue

3. una storia semplice ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

random book my teacher gave us to read, it’s 50 pages long i didn’t expect it to be so good honestly

4. she who became the sun ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

the plot was slow sometimes but i still enjoyed the story, the plot twists, i liked it a lot

5. the great gatsby ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

if i read it in italian i probably would have liked it more i feel like i didn’t understand it thoroughly in english lol, anyway still a very good romance and i wasn’t expecting that ending

6. serpent and dove ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ blood and honey ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ gods and monsters ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 

i loved the saga, the third book was definitely my favourite, i loved everything: plot, characters, the way it’s written e v e r y t h i n g. can’t find any bad things to say

7. maurice ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

same as the great gatsby: i should have read it in italian especially because it was written way before so it wasn’t so easy to understand what was going on sometimes. anyway i really liked the main character and knowing how he feels about what he goes through, loved him, loved the plot

8. the stolen heir ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

not as good as the rest of the cruel prince saga because the main characters wasn’t as a badass as jude, but anyway the plot was well written, i loved the plot twists, even the ending and holly black never fails me 

9. caraval ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

not bad honestly, i thought it was going too fast and it was going to be predictable but there were actually good plot twists

10. legendary ⭐️⭐️⭐️

reeeeally predictable. liked it a lot less than the first one

11. le cosmicomiche ⭐️⭐️⭐️

not my usuale kind of book, i actually thought i wouldn't like italo calvino's stories but it wasn't too bad, a nice beach read

12. the adventures of sherlock holmes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

even though it took me some months to finish reading all the stories i really liked it, although i still prefer the novels more than the short stories

13. the happy prince and other stories ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

love oscar wilde, i liked his short stories and loved the meaning behind them. beach read

14. harry potter and the order of the phoenix, the half blood prince, the deathly hallows ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

im obsessed with harry potter but i had never read the last three books until this summer. ate them like girl dinner cause they are my girl dinner. the whole harry potter saga and the marauders fandom are my girl dinner.

15. frankenstein ⭐️⭐️

couldn't even finish reading it. i thought it was going to be something else completely and even though the plot is really good the way it was written is dreadful to me. when i got to the end and saw the letters i closed the book and never opened it again. i wish it was wirtten from the monster's pov not the scientist
