lps with nail polish on them?

I'm not sure which category this would go under sorry!

Hey so I have recently found my entire lps collection from when I was younger which is really really cool and I'm super happy to have them. But the thing is, more than half of them have nail polish ALL OVER them (When I was little I thought I could do customs @_@.) 

I am a little bit stumped because the obvious answer to get the nail polish off is to use acetone, But acetone would very likely remove the original paint from the lps which i definitely do not want to happen. Is there any sort of nail polish remover which does NOT include acetone or anything like that, or is that just not possible?

If there is anyone with experience in nail art, other sorts of art, Lps, or just dolls in general that could give me some tips about how to go about this I would REALLLYYY appreciate it!
