Silent Hill Shattered Memories

I guess I'll use this to ramble about stuff that's too long to put on my insta (@Emo.Metal.Punk btw) Bro, I've been playing Silent Hill alot lately. I beat SH1 at the end of August 27th 2022, SH2 on October 1st 2022, SH3 on October 30th 2022, and SHSM on June 9th 2023! I was gonna play Silent Hill 4 the room right after SH3, but I didn't since october was over and I wasn't sure if I wanted to play it on my CRT or flat screen since I have it on the original xbox which outputs to 1080i. I bought Silent hill Shattered Memories for my PSP back in like February for 80$ and started playing it. The beginning of the game is kinda eh and I wasn't digging playing it on my PSP in my room so I kinda forgot about playing it. There was a part in the game where I needed a walk through so I watched a vid and the person was playing the Wii version and I really liked the way it looked. So in March, I was looking on Ebay and THANKFULLY found a complete and clean copy of it for the Wii for 90$ when the game usually goes for about 120$ and they're not always complete in box (CIB) so I snatched that and started playing it in late May. People complain about the motion controls for that game, but I honestly LUVED them! It made the game so immersive moving Harry's flashlight around with the Wii remote. Not just that, but then Harry's phone ringing through nothing, but the Wii remote's speaker then having to hold up the Wii remote to your ear to hear whoever he's talking to! AHH i just really digged it! I honestly don't understand why people hate that about the game. There's a version of it for the PS2 and it usually goes for 160$ DISC ONLY!! I have no idea why, but yea. ANYWAY! I also love how the game psychologically profiles you! The game has you take a survey in the beginning and it effects how the charecters you meet in the game will look. It even effects how the monsters will look too! Not just the survey, but what you actually look at in the game effects what happens too! I absolutely luv luv luved it!! I also loved what the game specifically says about you during the credits! It was pretty accurate for the most part. i found it sooo funny how the game literally told me that I needed to "get more action" XD at the end it says that we still have alot to work thru and that doing another play thru is suggested. I might replay it again, but idk if that'll be soon. I played the game on PSP last night for a couple minutes and I most certainly prefer the Wii version of the game. The PSP version is a really good port and the only way I can recommend it is if you already played and beat the Wii version. I def wanna talk about the other SH games, but this is already getting really long, I don't wanna spoil the story, and I haven't even talked about how I got all the games! So without further ado...

How I got the games

I feel like I'm rambling now. I guess I'll get into what SH games I have and for what console. So I have SH1 digitally on my PS3. Main reason is because it was only like 7$ on the PS3 PlayStation store. Oh yea and before you get excited, PS3 and PS4 have different online stores for some reason so you can't buy SH1 on ur PS4 or PS5 :( I woulda bought it physically, but it was about 80$ at the time and I figured I would take the cheaper option. I regret it cause now a copy of SH1 is almost 200$!! I just bought a copy last night for 165$ and it should be delivered within the next week. I bought the rest of the SH games physically since none of the other games are available digitally on the PlayStaion store. I got SH2 (the greatest hits version) for 75$ and it now goes for around 120$. Funny thing about that is I literally made an Ebay account so that I could buy a copy of SH2 and I actually found a listing for 65$ and bought it pretty much as soon as the seller posted it, I messaged him and thanked him for listing the game at a reasonable price and then he was like "oh yea man no problem! I literally just put up the listing, wasn't expecting it to sell so fast!" then he DECLINED the sale and said "oh i see that you're a new account and don't have any reviews. sorry dude, I've been burned by accounts like yours. sorry and good luck finding another copy." like WOW! I even offered sending him a pic of my ID so that he knew I was real, but he refused to believe I was a real geniune person RIP. So I ended up buying it for 75$ oh and I purposely bought the greatest hits version because it comes with on disc DLC! It has a 2nd story mode that's not in the original version of the game!! I bought SH3 on Mecari for 110$ it now goes for about 160$! It was literally the cheapest I could find it CIB! What kinda sucks about my copy is that it has a game crazy sticker on it -.- I don't mind it too much tho and I could take it off if I really really wanted to. I got SH4 on Mecari for 38$ this time for the original xbox. The PS2 version of the game at the time was 100$ so I figured I would take the cheaper option, plus the xbox supports up to 1080i so I figured it was the better version of the game anyway. The xbox ver now goes for 50$ and the PS2 ver 120$! I got Silent Hill Origins for the PS2 for about 80$ on Ebay it goes for 130$. It was the cheapest I could find it CIB! Then I also bought Silent Hill Homecoming and Downpour for 15$ - 20$ each on Ebay. I honestly don't know if I'll ever play those 2 games tho, seeing some gameplay turned me off. I bought all of those in 2020 and I said frick SHSM because it was just a reimagining of SH1 and did'nt have anything to do with the storyline. That and I didn't have a Wii or PSP at the time so the PS2 version was my only option and I wasn't gonna spend 200$ on it. I just bought Silent Hill Origins for PSP 42$ and The Silent Hill Experience for the PSP 49$ last night and I'm excited to check em out! I bought SH Origins again for the PSP just so that I could have it lawl. Also I shoulda siad this earlier, but DO NOT BUY SILENY HILL HD COLLECTION for PS3 OR XBOX 360!! Both of those versions of the game are really really bad. They re-recorded the voice lines, messed up alot of the beautiful aesthetics of the games, and just didn't really put any effort into it since they rushed the game out to release around the same time of the 2nd Silent Hill movie (which is also bad lawl) ANYWAY this was really fun to type out on my pooter so I might do it again.
