My life in Ukraine!

Are you safe? Are you alive? Do you even have internet here?!

That’s what what we hear every time we tell that we’re from Ukraine xD. So today I wanted to tell a bit about my life there. 

I’m living in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. I spent some time during the war in Germany, but in February this year I finally returned home. That doesn’t mean that war is over or that there’s safe now! We still have air alarms, we still have a risk not to wake up on the next morning. 

So why did we return then? We were missing our homeland and our family. My father couldn’t go to other country with us, so I was just with my brother and mom. It was quite hard for us to be separated. I can make another blog where I will tell about my life in Germany, it was unusual experience.

But now, here in Kyiv, I’m attending my “native” school. Our class became smaller, a lot of people has left school. If before full scale invasion we had like 24 people, now we have only 16. 

Sometimes we have air alarms in our region, when we hear it, we quickly pack all our things and go to the shelter. We got lucky that we have our shelter, because schools that don’t have it don’t have right to work, and they are all online. 

Maybe someone could say “but that’s great, Dasha, what are you talking about?”, but, to be honest, I enjoy attending school. I was in foreign country for so long, I really wanted to go back home and just see my classmates again. Maybe this situation teached me to appreciate all that I have and be thankful for all I got.
