How to make your Windows 10 laptop look like Windows 7

BEFORE DOING THE TUTORIAL, PLEASE MAKE A RESTORE POINT

If you don't know how here's a link to how you can do it (Yes it's W11 but it's the same thing)

Also please read the entire thing before proceeding to do it

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What it should look like at the end

Note: The window thing that show minimize and all won't really work for stuff like Chrome

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Part 1 - The Windows

First you're gonna download this (W10 theme):

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CoEgk1SPtQRjgL3kxZOAAImjpcvhiCRy/view

(Made by u/UnderscoreAngel)

There's the instruction in the downloads but i want to make somethings clear first:

1. It's C:\Windows\Resources\Themes (in step 1)

2. On step 2, you should open Themetool.exe as an administrator and check the three options here:

hereee

Then you should follow as said in the "ReadMe!.txt" file

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Part 2: The taskbar and the home menu

It's really easy here.

You're just gonna have to download "Startisback"

(here's the link https://startisback.fr.uptodown.com/windows)

Then you should have options about the taskbar and home menu

Just choose which one you prefer.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Part 3: The cursor (optional, really)

1. Download it here: https://www.cursors-4u.com/cursor/2011/02/25/windows-7-set.html

!! THE INSTRUCTIONS WRITTEN IN THE FOLDER ARE ONLY FOR W7 AND WVISTA !!

So..

2. Unzip/Extract the pack

3. Open the windows vista-7 cursor folder then right click it and click install.

4. So it's gonna say smth like "Setup can't copy the file ReadMe.txt"

We don't care about that file so you're gonna click "Cancel" and then it's gonna ask you if you want to continue the Setup without the file, click yes.

5. Open options, open "Personalization" then Themes and open "Mouse cursors"

6. In the "Scheme" section click here

clck her

Then at the bottom you should be able to see the Windows 7 cursor

If you don't see it:

ITS HEREE

------------------------------------------------------------------

And now enjoy!

If you want to be hardcore you can also add the sounds but it's too much of a pain in the ass since you have to add them one by one.

If there's something you didn't understand, question or errors please ask me in the comments!
