My videogame collection

hello everyone this is a remake of an old blog i had made of my videogame collection. enjoy 👍

i'm not a big fan of long introductions so let's get straight to the point. i will only be listing games i have bought and not the ones i've installed through homebrew because that would just take forever
i currently own 5 consoles; here's me talking about every single one of them

PlayStation 3

i got this console around 2013 when the PS4 had just come out since i couldn't afford one of those at the time (still can't LOL)

the PS3 still has a pretty good catalog so i think it was totally worth it and i would even recommend getting one to this day ONLY IF you like the game catalog (because PS games are simply not for everybody, myself included) and if you're interested in emulation. speaking of which, the PS3 is amazing at emulating retro consoles and arcade games, every game i've tried in RetroArch runs smoothly and overall the DualShock 3 adapts pretty well to the games so it's a really fun exerience overall 

but even taking all of that into consideration this is definitely not my favorite console. not because i think it's inherently a bad one but i'm just not a PlayStation guy LOL it's pure personal preference since i tend to like Nintendo franchises a lot better

before any comments i bought all of these from ages 5 to 10. take that into account

Family Game

no i did not write that wrong. these are Family Games, Famicom clones that were very popular here in Latin America during the 90s, since the only country of LatAm that Nintendo exported games to was Mexico. They were specially popular here in Argentina due to the low price of the console, cartridges and joysticks, and the fact they were super accesible compared to the original NES / Famicom.

so the question is why do i even consider these to be in my collection. well the thing is that i find these super interesting because they were pretty much the beginning of the videogame market here in my country and for many it was their first experience with videogames, owning these feels like owning a bit of history and i'm specially fond of them since they used to belong to my mom during the 90s

i DID say i was only including original stuff but cmon. i felt the need to include these simply because i find them super cool 

Nintendo 3DS

i can't explain how much i love this console. of course it's mostly due to nostalgia but it's one of my favorite handhelds of all time

i've had two of these, a red one around 2012 when i was 5 years old which me and my brother ended up snapping in half by accident. we don't talk about that. and the other one is this super nice aqua blue 3DS that i love with my whole heart. it was a present from my mom from around 2017 i think

i've always been very fond of it but i started loving it when i installed homebrew into it LOL the thing with getting preowned consoles is that i never really feel like they're truly mine but with the 3DS after putting in so much time and dedication into building my digital collection and decorating it and stuff i really do feel like it's my console now and that's why i'm so attached to it

unfortunately i only own one physical game for this console: Pokémon X, but my digital collection is huuuuge. i did say i'm not including stuff i haven't bought soooo yeah sorry. 

Wii

the most recent addition to my collection... i've been obssesed with it ever since i got it

as i've said before i still struggle with feeling like it's really my console now, i haven't deleted any of the miis of the previous owners because i would feel so bad doing so LOOL eventually i'll get there. 

since i got it only like a month ago i still need to buy some stuff for it like a AV to HDMI adapter so i can play with more than 4 pixels on my screen and a Hard Drive or Flashdrive so i can store a bunch of games to play via USB Launcher. even though my options are quite limited now in terms of games since my flashdrive has 7GB of storage

 i'm still having a lot of fun with the games i own now! since it was preowned it came with the following physical games:

• Wii Fit Plus
• Wii Sports
• Wii Sports Resort
• Super Mario Galaxy

you can check out the pirated DVDs that i can run via ULoader in the pic above LOL. i also just realized the console doesnt have the base in the picture.. sorry i found the base i thought the previous owner didnt include in the box 5 minutes after taking it

Nintendo DS

 i'm guessing you guys know the 3DS is backwards compatible with the DS right. well i do own 3 DS games physically (without the box tho. that sucks)

i have Super Mario 64 DS, Paws & Claws Pampered Pets 2 and Magic Made Fun (Master of Illusion). i'm gonna talk a bit about these so this section isn't super short

Super Mario 64 DS is pretty awesome. never got to try the original Nintendo 64 version so this was a really good introduction to the Mario franchise tbh i used to play this game ALL DAY when i was little. i love the fact we can play as so many characters by unlocking them and the minigames are so fun actually. i spent more time on those than playing the actual game

Paws & Claws Pampered Pets 2 sucks so much balls like actually. worst DS game i've ever played it's so frustating for no reason, the controls suck, moving around is tedious and th FUCKING ball minigame made me rage quit every single time i tried to play it i'm not exaggerating

lastly Magic Made Fun is good but only for like... a week at maximum. like whenever you run out of family members to show the dumb tricks to it gets super boring. my brother and I used to play it excessively. we played it so many times we pretty much figured out the trick for every single one of them so now it's just collecting dust. although everytime my brother meets someone new he shows them the game but it lasts like 5 minutes and then it's never touched again for like a year 
still a pretty good casual game, it's defintely not something you should be playing for hours on end like we did LMFAOO

Extra stuff

to finish this blog here's other videogame merch i own:

two mugs: a heat activated pacman one and a super mario pipe one (and a zelda one but its kinda ugly). it's so hard to actually drink out of the mario one but it's so fucking cool i use it every single time 

and lastly i have 3 McDonald's toys i literally can't remember when the fuck i got them. I have a Pikachu, Luigi and lastly Bowser. I'm also pretty sure i owned a Pikipek one i just can't find it ANYWHERE i've searched my whole house for it n nothing. very sad

sooooo that's about it. hopefully this isn't as hard to read as my previous videogame collection entry but i still rambled a bit sorry abt that. see you guys in the next entry :Db
