Sorry to Bother You...

Before I went to college, I found a movie that really interested me called Sorry to Bother You. It was weird and kinda trippy looking, so I was looking forward to watching it one day. However, what I didn't know is that I would watch this movie 4 separate times in a matter of 2 months. Here's the story:

Before I start, I wanted to say that before I went to college, I met some friends at the school orientation event. They were pretty cool dudes, but now we don't talk :(. Anyways, in the first week or so of college, they invited me over to hang out with them. When I made it to their place, they were watching a movie. Crazy enough, this was my first kind-of viewing of Sorry to Bother You (I only saw the second half of the movie sadly, so I kinda had the twist spoiled). Then, a week or so later, some other college friends, who also don't talk to me anymore (I swear I'm not toxic), invited me to their place to see... Sorry to Bother You! This was my first actual viewing of this movie. It was a lot better this time since I got to see the entire movie. Then, another week goes by... we watch Sorry to Bother You in one of my film classes! I even did a group presentation on it, which honestly, wasn't half bad. Before I go into the last time I saw the movie, I just wanted to say that about a week or two before I saw it in class, I met my current girlfriend. She came over to my house back where I actually live (not my college dorm) and we watched the movie together since I suggested it. This all happened in a matter of 2 months.

To my surprise though, I never got tired of the movie. I thought it was great every time I watched it and it's literally my third favorite movie of all time. Yes, it's a bit political, but the surreal sci-fi mixed with the stupid humor and the beautiful look of the movie as a whole makes it a great watching experience. The acting is great as well: Lakeith Stanfield, Tessa Thompson, and Steven Yuen are the main characters... if that doesn't convince you already, I don't know what will (fuck Armie Hammer though). If you need a movie to watch, watch this. Although I wouldn't watch this with your family...
