the weekend began on Thursday for me. my partner and i went on a triple dyke date for a drink at Ginger's with some of her friends, and i stayed over at her place that night. on Friday i worked from her apartment, and that evening we got dinner at Purple Yam, which is easily my favorite restaurant in its neighborhood. i spent another night at my partner's and left on Saturday morning while she had one of her final classes of the school year online.
on my way home, i stopped for some groceries and dodged a few odd looks from old women on the subway who probably couldn't tell if i was a boy or a girl. originally, i planned to spend my Saturday at home relaxing, with the possibility of getting a drink or two with my friends at night. but one of my good friends and his partner (also my good friend) texted to ask my partner and i if we wanted to see Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse at Nitehawk in Williamsburg, and neither of us could turn down such an enticing offer. after dinner and the movie, we got a drink downstairs at Lo-Res. did you know you can still buy Heelys?
on Saturday i made my partner and i coffee and bagels with butter and jam. i was sad when she had to leave, but i put myself together and very bravely walked the four blocks to the train so i could pick up a few games at Twenty Sided Store in Williamsburg. afterwards, i migrated to Jack Bar for a little pinball. every time i look at table top games, i think that i can probably write an RPG, and so i decided to write one about hanging out at bars with your friends--i told all my friends that i'm working on it, so i think at this point i'm locked in. i started outlining a little of the game at the bar, and i think if i have enough free time this week and next, i can have a draft ready to play test for Pride.

after Jack Bar, i went home and ordered momos even though i had those groceries from Saturday; as always, i'm full of bad choices.
