how to kill a computer?

I used to love computer viruses as a kid :D 

one time someone came over to interview my whole family (my dad was sorta famous) and when I got to talk I would not shut up about random things I'd learned from reading some ladys bachelors thesis, lol. still watch a looot of danooct1 on youtube (he runs stuff on virtual machines and shows and explains how different worms/trojans/malware/whatever performs), he's awesome.

 I never got far enough into it to learn how they're genuinely created, though. and nowadays I'm sure viruses as they came to be known are pretty outdated, now it's all about... ransomware, right? and well. a lot of the information people needed to cleverly dig out of systems is now probably a lot easier to reach. oh well... if youve ever messed around with something you shouldn't have and accidentally ruined your pc, let me know.
