Crushes

I've had a crush on this one guy for a long time—since elementary school, I think. He's really cute and smart, too! Though he can be a little odd at times. I really like him a lot! 
But what's confusing are the things my classmates tell me. They tell me he's gay, but he isn't. They say he likes me, but I don't believe them. A small part of me believes them, but that's just wishful thinking.  

I'm fine just being his friend. Even if he never likes me, I at least want to be something to him...
