Hey!
How are ya'll doing!
So many exclamation points. LOL. Anyway, lets get to it.
So much has happened these last two weeks so I will try my best to this in chronological order:
1. I think I may have had a quiet mental breakdown. If that even is a thing. It was so hard and I had to go through all alone. I am so proud of making that breakthrough myself, but DAMN it made me realize that I am all that I have got. It is ridiculous, but I feel that I have accepted that more. I was only able to accept that more when I took into consideration that even if you were seen and heard and your needs were meet growing up you still have to learn how to support yourself. Although it is a privileged to have that external support. I will NEVER deny that!
2. I have now started doing different things to prioritize my mental health better. At the moment I am doing dance therapy, words of affirmation every night to the mirror, and breathe work. Before, I would focus on therapy mentally by talking it through and journal writing. However, due to my mental breakdown I need to do things that require me to move my body more.
3. I have also been thinking of going to boot camp, but I do not know where I would even find that in the first place. Maybe I would find people who offer mentor ship or lessons. Basically, I desire to be a creativist: dancing, singing, fashion, acting, writing, therapy, and event planning...so on and so forth.
4. I am also going to volunteer at a dance event. I am super excited and it is just so nice to see what people are doing in your city. It can be so easy to say, "OHHH it SOOOO BORINNNNG." but honestly look up what is going on you may be surprised and what people are doing. I am fortunate to meet really kind and empathetic people in cities dance community. I am so grateful. Oh! That reminds I will need to incorporate gratitude into my new healing journey as well.
