"it's with a x" album review

When I started this album I thought about how my friend pointed out how many Detroit/Michigan rappers have "baby" in their name and I was distracted the whole time. I loved this tape though!

From what I know Babyfxce E is from Flint and the only other Flint rapper I know is Ak Bandamont so there really isn't a lot to compare. The standout track to me is "Pulling Up" because the beat really sounds possessed: if I was good at describing beats I'd get into it but you're gonna have to hear it for yourself.

This is a 7 track album (so maybe it's an EP) and I think I'd describe it as...relentless? It has the benefit of never slowing down so you probably won't forget any of the tracks too soon. On Broad Day he says "Man you niggas broke as hell I could fold y'all money" which was a crazy bar to me but it's probably not even the best on here. If I had to say anything negative I'd say "Can't Fwm" and "Grow" are the least striking but they still have good moments. When I heard "Chop did him like a coupon and ripped him half off" I was stroking my chin like I had a camera on me.

I like his style overall and I think he could have longevity. This is the only thing I've listened to so I couldn't tell you what sets him apart but I don't even think that observation is necessary here.

Last thing I'm gonna talk about is this bar on D Rose where he says "gave the bitch good fucking D put the rose back" and ad libs that it's gonna go over our heads...why would he say that? Why would this be unclear? It's above me.
