Splatfests no longer feel fun to me. I mean they're fun but they're not FUN. I feel like in Splatoon3 the fanbase is so competitive and tryhard-y These seem to bring out the worst in some people. Sure, playing can be fun and winning is great, but sometimes they just feel like there's no point in playing.
I also feel that the White Chocolage Splatfest wasn't fair because I saw a good amount of online people join for the color. For those of you who didn't join because of the color I salute you. And also, as a member who contributed to the Sweet Sweep, I chose it because I'm a sugar addict, not a Frye addict.
Lastly I feel like the game is full of tryhards...or maybe I just suck. I dunno but I'm just gonna enjoy the game as much as I can. Anyway thanks for reading my ramble, what are your opinions?

nah i feel that way too sometimes especially since ive played splatfests w my friend where we BOTH feel that the enemy team is trying WAYYYY too hard for a casual match...
it's so funny sometimes though because it's like whyre they putting so much effort when we're supposed to be having fun LMAO. also sometimes it happens in mirror matches too like... what!!!!!! it's so silly though. if and when it annoys me i just go to salmon run. lately i havent been participating in big runs or splatfests much. just havent been playing splatoon in general even though some of the catalogue items look super good to me.
unrelated but i still think it would be nice if deep cut could at least have their splatest colors chosen/'on' when theyre doing the broadcast during splatfest. that would be nice instead of their regular colors. it's such a small nitpick but LMFAO it's just so silly, plus it makes the splatfest announcements feel the same
