Undoubtedly the most introverted of the group, who unlike Avery, hates being around people in general. When invited to hang out with the rest he'll make an attempt to stall as much as possible until he really is forced to go out. Ilya rather spends most of his time with the small pleasures he can actually gain from life, like playing guitar.

Despite being rather talented, Ilya thinks it's embarrassing to show off his musical talents, even to his girlfriend. During a school talent show, Ilya was pushed into performing by his friends, to which after a painful amount of stage anxiety he swore to never let them persuade him into doing anything ever again.

However underneath his aloof and distant demeanor Ilya does care for his friends, but greatly struggles with affection. Ilya is not great with hugs or words of affirmation, it took many months after Maya first said "I love you" for him to mutter it back. Many people may not know how to approach a person like this, figuring it would save them the trouble and not bothering with it, but his friends are not most people.
