TLDR: SPACEHEY, PLEASE HIRE MORE MODERATORS. KNOWN PEDOPHILES AND BIGOTS KEEP COMING BACK TO THE SITE DESPITE BEING BANNED, BEGIN WORKING WITH THE POLICE OR IMPLIMENT IP BANS. CHILDREN ON YOUR SITE ARE BEING PUT AT RISK CONTINUALLY. YOUR PLATFORM IS GETTING LARGER AND ITS TIME TO HIRE PEOPLE TO WATCH THE NEW USERS SECTION. THERES NO REASON WHY EMOXDADDY SHOULD CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO RETURN!!
(before you read, remember, i am NOT a lawyer but i am well versed enough in the law to know how to go about handling this.)
this website is going down the same pipeline as vidlii, a platform made with good intentions to compete with google, a corporation that continues to worsen the internet as time goes on, its now overrun by bigots and pedophiles and the same thing is happening to spacehey. its a matter of time before a kids parents gets the law involved and this site goes down due to a cease and desist. if the FBI catches wind of this, without a doubt, the end of spacehey is closer than you all think.
none of us want that to happen. PLEASE hire more moderators or atleast open applications for people with a history of website moderation to help out with the website.
you are a small team of people, but youre aware the website is getting larger, its even in your twitter bio that there are over 6000 users!! therefore its time to spring into action, simply banning accounts isnt enough if youre not gonna IP ban or work with the police to get these degenerates locked up for once and for all! yes, IP bans dont ALWAYS work, but a lot of these people arent smart enough to know how to circumvent those or know the intricacies of IP addresses, usually IP banned predators never return to the sites they were using to prey on children.
kev has now moved to tumblr aswell, by the way. he messaged me the other night, not knowing that i'm not gonna fall for his tricks. heres his tumblr. block & do not engage with him. especially if you're under 18.
on the point about the bigots, theres no reason that someone named "Aryan1488" should be able to join without being caught by any filters, it doesnt matter that its a potential troll, given you allow minors as young as 13 onto your site, you should know how impressionable young children are, especially to bigotry and child predation. grooming into the alt right & sexual exploitation is EASY on platforms that allow such young people.

i will continue to speak up until something is done, and i implore that you all speak up aswell, remember, do not engage with these predators. do not engage with bigots who are half the time looking for a reaction, just continue to block, report, and report to cybertip as needed. do not do sting ops if you're a minor or aware of entrapment laws as that can endanger getting the police involved, its very easy to get a case dismissed due to entrapment which is a very fine line to cross, what im saying is DO NOT BAIT THE PREDATOR. REPORT THEM TO THE POLICE WITH ANY KNOWN SCREENSHOTS OF THE PREDATOR ATTEMTPING TO INTERACT WITH CHILDREN.

it is heavily likely that eventually these predators will begin coming back under new aliases. minors, do not accept friend requests from adults, be careful who you speak to who claims to be a minor, its easy to lie online, a lot of the time a predator will not say they're an adult. do not be sexual with anyone you meet online, do not be romantic with anyone you meet online, predators know how a kids mind operates and knows exactly how to manipulate one. its important to protect yourself
. if An does nothing about this in the coming weeks despite being completely aware (because people have definently contacted him,and theres NO way he doesnt look at the blog section at all) , i'd recommend that the safest course of action is for people (especially children) to cease using the site completely.

The last message I ever got from An about the moderator application was all the way back in November from last year. No idea if he's forgotten about it, is way too busy, or doesn't care. Last one sounds harsh but I used to be part of a website that had so many issues the creator just didn't want to deal with it anymore and left it behind.
Also not to make it political, though I guess the bigot topic already made it political, I'm also disgusted by the amount of kids on here openly sharing their kinks and sexualities in the name of "kids should find out who they are and anyone who disagrees is part of the alt right". It isn't just an alt right problem, it's an extremists problem. Both the left and right are equally guilty for grooming kids into things they shouldn't have to think about.
If anything the site needs to be extremely more strict on sexual content. There's users on here openly talking about being sluts and bimbos around kids yet I never see anyone bring it up.
absolutely! i actually touched on the issue on minors being openly sexual and sharing way too much information in general a little while back, its an issue that just isnt being dealt with and at this point, if An doesnt begin doing something i may just leave the platform because i'd rather not support one thats incredibly aware of whats happening & isnt doing anything. i feel like we should not had let kids get ahold of the "politics and kink" discussion because now its being used to justify being openly sexual as a minor when thats incredibly dangerous, especially on a website filled to the brim with adults who are simply nostalgic for myspace.
I feel like An should not be taking donations for the site if he can't atleast get back to people who apply to be a moderator in the midst of all of this happening, as those donation costs should go to both moderation thats hired AND server costs if that makes sense. like surely people have emailed and tweeted at him about it by now, and surely he actually CHECKS the site that hes paying server fees to keep up and running, so it seems like hes ignoring it which just.. doesnt look or sound good at all.

i came back since months to spacehey and decided to do up my profile, im 13 and so i added my age to my desc, not even a couple seconds later i got a friend request from some rlly creepy dude. he messaged me and started saying rlly weird things. :( i eventually blocked him but i got rlly weirded out and shaken up. this has RUINED spacehey for me which is why im gonna abandon my account and just leave this website :/ he was 17 btw and i have screenshots. this literally happened this morning too

any word or update on the site hiring/getting volunteer moderators? i honestly would apply or volunteer or whatever. i hate larger social media platforms and i'll do whatever to protect this sites' users and to keep it from succumbing to this issue

i added someone on here who claimed to be 13-14 and over time started to publicly share how their partner was grooming and abusing them and hardly anyone did anything, i removed them and stopped using this website for months afterwards from sheer horror, i just couldnt stand it. this website itself is good! drop big social media! but it is NOT safe for kids in its current state, and it most *certainly shouldnt be used to air out personal information*
