Great Small Bands (in seattle!)

I love small concerts, especially acoustic ones. When I start doing shows, I hope to do a lot of acoustic sets because I feel they are more personal and can really offer depth and emphasis to the song. I wanted to make this entry mainly for one particular band here. But also, for others that I appreciate a lot as well. For starters, Counterproductive is an awesome rock band comprised of the bassist Sean, drummer Chase, and frontman/guitarist Jacob! They not only have an amazing stage presence, but also are very kind, down to Earth people. For example, I saw them perform at Cafe Racer last month and they guestlisted me into their show! Not only that, we had dinner together at this Mexican place that had a KFC sign up for some odd reason. And after the show, Jacob (frontman) drove me home. Just super great band that makes great music and is comprised of great people. Next up, Public Theatre! This Alt band is comprised of Cory on guitar, Matthew on drums, and Logan on vocals! I met these guys when I went to see Dusty Cubby at the Lucky Dime last March. Not only did they put on a killer show, they invited me and my sisters friend back to their place for an after party! Fun fact, this is also where I met Counterproductive! Me and Sean moshed together to most of Dusty Cubby’s tracks. Anyways, Logan and the rest of the crew were great. And, the last time I saw them, they were incredible! My personal favorite of theirs at the moment is Take Take (a little bite). I’m hoping to see them when they take off on their tour next month. Finally, Dusty Cubby, my OG favorite local band. I met their former drummer Kade at a Norwegian event in 2019 and we clicked. I told him about how I liked McCafferty, and he told me to check out his bands stuff. I did, and, I loved it. I’ve loved it since. The band has amazing tracks and everyone that I’ve met that’s been involved have been extraordinarily kind. I know it’s hard to really be connected to your fans when you are a bigger artist. So, I hope that if my music does start to gain any sort of traction, it’s on the local level. I would love to be known by the community and not much more. I wouldn’t mind some listeners in Malaysia or something. Anyways, I need to go to sleep so I think this is it for me. Jonathan, signing off!
