i saw these on websites that have been abandoned since the early days of the internet, not that recent. what i mean by the early days of the internet, is back when every internet user (mostly computer nerds) had wired internet transferring at 14.4-28.8 kbps, and couldnt use the phone while being connected to the internet, images and gifs were new to webpages and took over 12 minutes to load, and back when there was no youtube, facebook, twitter, spacehey, tumblr or any social media platforms. the closest thing u would get to socializing with people online is through msn messenger or aim or sending text-based emails with file attachments that took weeks to download.
