I have a lot to unpack today so let's get started!!

I finally finished today's Japanese notes! i may post another public blog of everything I've learned so far! i also am going to be receiving help from friends who are Japanese and speak the language natively! i'm really happy to be learning a new language for fun and also because i want to visit Japan someday!!

okay, today was rough for me when it came to choir, i had an audition and i was so under prepared and my choir teacher wasn't really happy about it but wasn't like mad at me?? i still felt horrible about it and started to cry and apologize right in front of him, which then lead me to unpack EVERYTHING to him, i told him how I've struggled really hard this year and how everything at home was stressful too, and he was so understanding and comforted me the entire time, telling me that it'll all because and it's not the end of the world.

my choir teacher really feels like my dad, a dad i never really had, yeah sure i have my stepdad and he's my dad too and i love him but we all have a school parent and my choir teacher is my school dad, hes amazing as a person and a music educator and made choir really fun for me, i'm lucky to have him as a teacher.

i got time to calm down in his office and we rescheduled my audition for 8th period, i messed up the song portion which he would know that would happen because i told him how the song just wouldn't click in my head, but I did super well on the range test, tonal memory and sight reading! he said i have an amazing voice range and that means he could honestly put me anywhere (for an overview of my range i'm a soprano 1 high but i also can go down to a baritone range) he said if i do come back next year i might be moved away from soprano 1 which i told him I'm okay with since I have such a large range.

"I knew the yearbook staff picked favorites."

today was the first day of yearbook handouts! and it was either preorder or buy upfront on a first come first serve basis, I bought mine up front and boy our yearbooks are heavy but it was such a well made yearbook, i found myself a few times, of course on the senior class section (which was a nice ass photo) the performing arts page with my choir and as well as the 4-diamonds staff team and our school's dungeons and dragons club!

a lot of clubs that I didn't think would have a lot of members actually does!! our E-sports club is as big as a choir and so is our super smash bros club!

some clubs were smaller than what i'd thought they would be like a capella club and our Saga club, i think it's cool we have all these clubs and I wish i got more involved and actually took time to enjoy high school but i was part of the Nation wide freshman class that was screwed over and i don't think i had a normal high school since, class of 2023 is going to stay strong!!
