On January 2022, I will be releasing the first Kaizo Slumber album, 'The Kaizo Manifesto.' 13 tracks, all following the concept of two archetypes: the technogaia, the post-nature ideal that replaces all organic matter throughout the planet in favour of a post-human technology-driven world, and the earth mother (a.k.a. mother nature,) representing the yearning for pre-modern and primitive version of life. Well, as much of those concepts I can portray through instrumental electronic music with amen breaks, M1 patches and gabber kicks.
The idea of making a rave concept album really interested me while I was making the Kaizo Demos EPs and I wanted to work within the limitations of instrumental dance music to convey the concepts mentioned above. The general idea behind the album was born out of my affinity for the Bryce 3D digital landscape aesthetic, and me realising how a lot of the visual art that I love is just primitive computer graphics trying and on average failing to replicate the beauty of the natural world accurately. (Look up Bryce 3D art and you'll know what I mean.) Every track on the album has a unique style: from contemplative atmospheric drum 'n' bass to obnoxious gabber banger, unified by the concept of the technogaia and the earth mother essentially 'battling it out.'
I've already released the 4th track 'The Carbon Menace' which you can stream now (http://fanlink.to/kaizomanifesto) The 'carbon menace' being a quite on-the-nose representation of hyper-industrialisation that's slowly killing the planet. I promise it's not a sappy charity single, but a footwork/hardcore combo track with fast breakbeats, blistering stabs and pretty much anything you want out of a rave banger.
