game soundtrack for my game :3

soooo.. ive been trying to work on a soundtrack for a game me and a friend of mine are developing, and it includes guitars... BUT I AM NO GOOD AT WRITING GUITAR MELODIES.

so i was wondering if there were any tips for writing guitar riffs, or just general music tips i could use to help me figure it out!
