halfway done...

Laid down all the rhythm guitars this past Wednesday and it felt great!

As for the melodies today, well, um...not so great. 

It's like they say, if you want God to laugh, tell Him your plans.

I had all my ideas arranged, ready to do a slam dunk. But nope. Everything I played fell apart. Things sounded great at home but that's my house. Not the studio, where I am under an electron microscope. Nothing worked! Had to rewrite and discard some ideas, brainstorm new ones on the spot. Thankfully Brian and Mike helped out with that, or else I would have been at my wits end. By the end of today, I was shot.

But hopefully when we go back to the studio on Friday, these ideas will sound better because my ears will not have been so tortured. 

I need a nap now.
