if you can identify the era you might be able to find artists who may have released art guides or done interviews ! if not, by at least knowing the era you can get an idea of how the style works n find lots n lots of references- practice is the best way to learn ! tracing is generally looked down upon however if you're just starting off n don't try to pass it off as your own work it's a really effective way to gain confidence + an understanding of the style !! hope this is helpful c:
