I went for a little hike again! I wanted to go there some time ago already, but never came to it or was lazy (as always... ;P ) but tuday was such a great weather and the plants were green because of the heavy rain last week.
I started in Ebenau, a village known for its mills.
This old sawmill looks abandoned, but I heard the saw. Maybe it is still
in use occasionally, at least it's an active hydroelectric plant.
The meadows are high already and farmers are mowing
I FOUND A FUCKIN POTATO ON THE ROAD
This is the summit I'm planning to go on.
I don't know but I think these are Colchicum autumnale, also known as "autumn crocus" or "naked ladies", as I just read. The english.... well, I saw some great tits as well, I'm going places... anyways, they don't even bloom that early.
Looks very unspectacular, but in this picture you see the first little summit of my hike: Siederberg, 898 m. There isn't even a real path up there, only roe paths. Or rather chamois paths, because I saw a mother with a young animal, didn't expect them so low.
Up to the next summit! It is called Burgstallkogel in some maps, the others don't give it a name. Burgstall means a ruined castle, that is so ruined you can't see it anymore. And I expected a boring forest hill like the Siederberg, but it had cool looking steep walls. With a bit of fantasy, it resembles a castle. I also didn't expect a path to lead up, but there was a good one. Not marked or maintained, but it seems, people go there.
Centaurea montana
Burgstallkogel (933 m)
Anyways, I went on and got to an official hiking path with also a bear-themed trail for children because on this mountain or area there were bears some time ago. It went on and on, really boring.
Just under the next summit, there is a little doline, not even a cave, called Bärenhöhle (bear cave) and you can enter it. I made a video of it as I enter it, and something happened that I didn't really expect...
Well, that's the summit of the last mountain (and only "real" mountain), and I honestly didn't think it was that ugly. Lidaun, 1237 m.
At least the view is nice. You see the lake Wiestalstausee.
I went down tha same boring path again, but then didn't continue the path to the Burgstallkogel, but a forestry road that took quite a while to get to the valley.
The Lidaun already looks boring from below

And also this Is the first time I saw a Russian road sign. It seems, a lot of russian trucks took the wrong way here, because it translates to "last chance of turning your truck" (as well as the german sign above)

I hope you enjoyed my blog entry^^
