most depressing love story ever

theres this boy ive liked for a while, ive known him since we were kids and hes so so so so so cool. he listens to metal, old rock and he skates. Hes obviously out of my league so ive never told anyone i like him.

today we were sat in this big group on the school field and we were both talking about music together: Ozzy Osbourne and the Beatles, and he was showing me some cool songs.

i thought "fuck, this is my chance, i might as well shoot my shot", but before i could say or do anything this girl comes along, makes a joke about me being single and then lays in his lap whilst he played with her hair and giggled with her. completely acting like i wasnt even there.

my body shut the fuck down, i didnt cry, i didnt laugh, i didnt go quiet, i dont even remember what i did. 

im like the main character in a romcom, but one of those ones where its slightly depressing and you sort of worry about their mental state too much to even laugh.
