The teacher talk and talk,
And they won't ever stop;
Their voice sounding like lullaby,
In it goes one ear,
Out it comes the other;
Words from the book,
Sounding so smooth;
As I lower my eyelids,
My heartbeat steady,
My body relaxed,
As I start to feel sleepy.
First I'll say 'just for a bit, I'll take a rest!',
Then down it goes my head on the desk;
The teacher continue talking,
Words I can't comprehend,
As my awareness begin to lose its stand;
Then come from out the window,
A breeze gentle and low;
Guiding me deep, deep,
Into an afternoon sleep.
When I wake up I know,
My back would ache,
And I'll have a headache;
My hand will numb,
And my neck sore;
The teacher would complain,
Yet I can't explain,
How a nap like that,
Is the best I've ever had!
