Well Australia is in the works to get rid of it soon enough... And Montana state in US will be the first ..
I mean.. Governments across the world didn't do shit about Facebook even though many major things happened as we all knew over the years, both politically & people's privacy... and they just got away with it with few days of hearing in Congress & small privacy changes.. you know why? Those fuckin morons have huuuuuuge stocks in Facebook and they want to protect it, and now, they wanna get rid of TikTok, because of maybe assuming 🤔 that they're collecting data and selling to Chinese govt.? I mean, there are several documentaries about Facebook have been released over the years, even the small kid can say Facebook is collecting the user's data for advertising purposes?? I mean what the fuck?? Well, I never used TikTok, I'm pretty sure there's not much of a thing goes on more than Instagram reels or YouTube stories or whatever..
But do you see where I'm going with this?? We currently live in a algorithmic world, where even a small kid can use a smartphone / iPad very effectively... And those companies they just collect your every move (button clicks, your answers, whatnot) and train their systems crazily day and nights in their data centers or under the ocean .. and NOW, we successfully entered the AI world. We just have to wait & see what's gonna happen in near future... But people when they see the new models being invented, they just don't realize they took your data somehow previously.
But if I'm not wrong, Myspace Tom protected everyone's privacy & user's data till the end.. bless his heart though.. I hope SpaceHey has more security and moderation across this app!!

You think it's good to ban people from accessing a worldwide application that people use to share important information, safely put together protests, counter mass media manipulation, and overall just enjoy using?
i'm about as lost on this one as i was on your blog about threads.

I've never came across "Important information".. also like what? people dancing in their bedrooms to a song? or picking up a movie dialog and acting accordingly? or there are live streams where people do games to get the people's attention to give the user a gift.. I don't think that's "Important information" for me
but it's good to hear that you say "important information", safely put together protests, counter mass media manipulation" - i'm opening tiktok once in a while, well I never came across that stuff yet.. it's more like I open tiktok for a more pleasure.. also it's fair to say, these social media platforms recommends you videos on what you're watching / what profile you're following.. I never followed anyone yet, but.. I get this huuuuuge list of videos (I can scroll all day long) with the stuff I mentioned above! but rarely - VERY RARELY I come across politics / people sharing their views on politics (I think that's good) but again very rarely I see that stuff..

Every corporation is taking your data, it just really sucks that you don’t get a choice in it. I would try to be one of those social media free people, but I’m way too addicted XD
well, I kinda disabled my fb before, but the thing is most of my other accounts are created with social auth, so I had to re-enable it forcefully just to use the auth service :( I mean, I removed the app in my mobile, but time to time I visit in web... it's really hard to get off... :(
