Creep, creep, creep
A twig snaps, a creature scurries
Fireflies glow softly, casting a faint light on the flowers
The forest is dark— the sun never sets, the sun never rises
How did you get here, my dear little traveler?
Step, step, step
The moss muffles your little steps
Be quiet, just like a doll
For you know not what dangers could lurk ahead
Beware of the sights meant to lure you in
Or you could be stuck as one of us forever
Tick, tock, tick, tock
Time never passes here
Or does it?
The air feels rather still
With countless eyes you cannot see
Boring holes into your soul with their gaze
Look in the mirror of the quiet, gentle creek
Tell me what you see, my dear little traveler
Perhaps you see a little fairy flying freely among the flowers
Or a sweet, tender doll having the perfect tea party of her dreams
Maybe even a princess, clad in silk and jewels galore
Leading a life of comfort, secure in her own power
Drip, drip, drip
The tears fall into the creek
Distoring whatever you see with their little ripples
Why do you cry, little traveler?
Did you see something you dislike?
Or did you see nothing at all?
Perhaps you're not really lost in our forest
Maybe it is your soul and mind what's lost
Stick around, little travelever, become one of us
And maybe, maybe then, you'll find what you really are
