In other words people with this mindset have been documented to be dangerous and part of a group that appropriates social justice-sounding language to justify it, they have harrassed, doxxed, sexually abused (or even threatened to), send death threats , suicide bait, defamed innocent people.

If they have pro-ship and/or fujoshi dni , or comship, or proshitter (which is just a derogatory term for pro-ship) there´s a chance they are one of those people aka a anti-shipper and you should block them as well. Do not engage or respond to their comments or anything for that matter, not if you don't wanna become a target

They have spread misinformation about the term pro-ship or other fans in general to justify their harassment.  And besides your typical cyberbullying they even at times target one of their own as well.

There are consequences should one of them try to leave this mindset or so much as stepping a little bit out of line, making it a bit cult-like, as any ex-anti will tell you.

And here´s the thing you dont have to label youself pro-ship , you can even only create or interact sfw art/fiction or only do wholesome not all that problematic content. Its important that you avoid them anyway because not even you are safe.

Cuz sooner or later people like this will make some excuse to come after you just the same, remember its more about control than actual ethics.

Too many people on this site have been putting this stuff on their DNI/BFY (as well way to much private information which compromises online safety) and a lot of people don't know what it means.

This post is meant to inform people of that. Feel free to share these links, and stay safe out there.

Update:

Ok this post sorta blew up, so I decided to add a couple of more stuff so there is no room for misunderstanding.

First, disliking or being uncomfortable with certain fictional tropes does not make someone an anti. it´s more about the attitude.

Disliking things or having discomfort is fine, everyone has their own limits, and its especially important to learn how to curate your own online experience. I´m especially supportive of the use of content warnings for this reason, cause it makes for a more comfortable experience, (and also learning to protect yourself online from people with bad intentions towards you.)

No what makes someone an anti is the fact they decided to participate in some moral crusade over people´s relationship with fiction, policing them, judging and making assumptions about their moral character claiming what  they consume or create  always reflects what they supports or wish to do in real life. (which as a horror fan, I can tell you, its bullshit).

They´ve often let their dislikes dictate their sense of morality instead of any actual sense what is right. (you know actions that lead to real life people getting hurt)

And this argument loses its edge when you find out that there are antis who are South Park fans (I mean have you seen that show?)

I also would like to point out that over the course of the years, this pro-ship/anti discourse has degraded in such a manner, it has started to leak to everywhere else, to the point it´s no longer about just antis vs pro-shippers anymore.

It´s ANTIS vs everyone else.

I might be repeating myself here, but antis have started targeting people who aren´t even involved in the discourse at all, or even just make the most tamest and wholesome content.

They even started bringing their brand of online toxicity into offline spaces, turning what is online harassment into just harassment. They´ve been stalking people at comic conventions or targeting classmates at schools and colleges, and even their own friends.

If I had to describe them, they are essentially the Q-anon of fandom spaces, since a lot of their methods and rhetoric is similar. (or the satanic panic from the 80s)

Or even the fiasco that was the comics code authority if you go far enough

And the thing is they´ve been mostly dependent on the ignorance of people because the average person isn´t all that familiar at all over with fandom discourse or certain terms, and the fact the most people see fandom drama as just "dumb trivial bullshit" allowing to again, spread misinformation and get away with actions that if this were happening in any other community, it would horrify any normal person with a lick of sense.

And now they wanna bring that shit here on spacehey, when some of us have been trying to get away from that toxic mentality that has been infesting social media, nay I say this behavior has been enabled by the way most socmed has been structured.

Yall familiar with the concept of the moral guardian, yeah? You know, "Pokemon is promoting witchcraft and encouraging our children to violence and animal abuse!" types

And people made fun of them right, because of ridiculous it was.

It was not acceptable back then, so why the heck is it being accepted now? because they are using different labels and acceptable language?

so, take any of their claims with a grain of salt.

Sorry for the long post, but I had to say my piece.
