i really enjoy doing my own nails, especially since i've been experimenting a lot more. at first i was gluing tips on, but have recently figured out polygel! ╰(⸝⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝⸝)╯i've been doing my own nails for a few years, but only recently started adventuring into something that wasn't square with a solid color. i think almond-nails suit me the best.
there is a lot more customization available with polygel, and it tends to feel a lot stronger in comparison to the gel tips. this is really helpful because i have both a job and hobbies that require me to use my hands a lot ( ´∀`)b i also really like it because i've had a very hard time finding a gel polish that matches my nailbeds perfectly, but finding polygel that does has been super easy.
a lot of my nail inspo pics lately look like this:
they are not very practical, but i cannot help to love them immensely (♡´౪`♡) which ones are your favorite? cinnamonroll is one of my favorite sanrio characters, so i think i have to pick that set!
do you watch anyone on social media for nail inspiration? my favorite youtuber is 슈니네일shuninail ♡(◕ᗜ◕✿) her nails are very colorful, and the tips she uses are quite thin so the nails look natural. if you would like to see one of my favorite nail sets from her, you can view it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0McakycVqw
i have always been jealous of people who know how to place lots of different things in a small space that somehow fit together well, even if they aren't related. in the video, shuni mixes kuromi and tamagotchi! i am also still very inconsistent about nail thickness, as well as curving the underside correctly. should i invest in a drill?
i am not comfortable sharing my own nails, (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄) as i believe they look quite amateurish in comparison to the photos above, but i would love to hear about your nail experiences and favorite styles!
