i hate whenever my very very young cousin will say stuff like "of course pink is for the girls only!" and anything else similar to that while doing/buying anything with colors on it. i am being dramatic because she's not even five.
the thing is, she's a very stubborn little kid. i have tried telling her that pink can be for everyone really, and guys at my school would wear pink sweaters too, it's just a color. but i don't think she appreciates my input.
just now i told her again, that everyone including boys can also wear or have pink things. she laughed, i repeated what i said, and she left the table.
i just don't want her to be judgemental when she grows up, because the world is so big and there will be so many different kinds of people out there.

youre doing a great job in exposing subtle diversity and negating common stereotypes as an older role model!
i do agree that kids can be especially stubborn but sometimes persistency is the key
you also have good intentions with your actions and i commend you for that, though youre troubled by this i know youre doing a lot better with this subject than other people
i know you can do this :D
