Oil Painting

Currently very excited as im planning a beautiful painting of my grandmas lake view! I bought three canvases at the store and it was an awesome deal because it was buy one get 2 free so i only paid 30$ for THREE canvases!!! How crazy!! im actually very sick right now so i have this painting as the first thing on my to do list after getting better! Yayyy!!! before getting sick i actually finished a painting and ill put it right here!

I actually got to paint this one in the studio, which gave me lots of good time to focus without any outside distractions such as family or my cat lolol! This is also actually a portrait of my husband! --one may ask, but August? where is he? well you see, when i look at people i associate them with images and colors. when i look at someone and think about them or analyze them, my brain comes up with scenes and images along with colors and palates of who they are! This is what i see when i look at my dearest husband; i see the moody sky that is full of emotion yet so beautiful. i see an orange sea filled with the luxurious colors of the sun setting across a deep horizon filled with such beauty! I associate him with shades of blues and deep reddish oranges, small hints of ivy green but ever so slightly. will update the more i paint! i plan to travel and paint as well so stat tuned for that!
