transformers movie designs are weird

so i am fairly normal (absolutely, devastatingly hyperfixated) about the Transformers franchise right now. i wanna ramble on about the movies directed by michael bay/bayverse movies because oh my GOD the designs are horrific.

so, here's one of my personal favourite characters, ratchet. he's the grumpy old man type, i really like how he looks in the original cartoon.

now, here's Ratchet in the Bayverse movies...

why is he yellow. why is he posing like that. there are so many gears and wheels on this man it makes my eyes hurt.
