my esc semi-final 1 ranking!!

ESC SEMIFINAL 1 WAS SOOOO COOL!! i really enjoyed getting to watch it with friends this year, it's such a fun experience not watching it alone!!

anyway here's my ranking of the songs!! 1 being best and 15 being worst lolz (and note!! if you disagree, please don't take it personal, and if you wanna voice your disagreement, go ahead!! :3 it's all good)

1. soarele si luna by pasha parfeni (moldova)
THE BEST OMG I BOUGHT 5 VOTES FOR IT HEHEHEH I LOVED IT SO MUCH!! IT'S SO GOOD EEEEE, it was everyone in my group's fav!!! i looked up the lyrics and they're cute in a mystical way, while sounding creepy and weird. i like that they did a similar thing to like france's entry last year and used traditional vibes mixed with edm!! and the costumes and hair ?? it was just the perfect entry, i loved it so much

2. samo mi se spava by luke black (serbia)
serbia legit never disappoints me. i have never heard a serbian entry that i have disliked, and i'm not willing to be proven wrong. it was just such an interesting sounding song with vibes i'd never heard of before?? it sounded so cinematic!! the performance was SOOOOO CORNY but in like a good way. also bro was hot so

3. ai coracao by mimicat (portugal)
I LOVE HER SO MUCH AAAAA SHE WAS SO CUTE AND FUN ?? this song was so fucking fun and cool!! i loved it a lot. the red outfits were so cuteeeee!! i loved this song, it makes me very happy

4. my sister's crown by vesna (czechia)
the lyrics were kinda corny but for some reason this song gives me the biggest deepest chills?? i almost started crying to it in the car today???? i absolutely loved their voices and the chorus of the songs, it was so good... plus the instrumentals and the performance visuals def outweigh the sorta bleh at times lyrics, i love this one so much i was happy it qualified!!

5. aija by sudden lights (latvia)
death cab for cutie who??? basically the exact same vibes hahaha. i was sad they didn't qualify 3: their song was really pretty and interesting to listen to, even if their performance was just meh. i liked them!!

6. unicorn by noa kirel (israel)
this is controversial, i know, my friends didn't like it, i don't think anyone in my group did tbh, she didn't lean into the unicorn aesthetic enough!! can't just say you're a unicorn and then not have like... unicorn vibes. so no it was not phenome-phenome-phenomenal. but i will say i did enjoy the song enough!! 

7. tell me more by turalturanx (azerbaijan)
the song and performance were kinda boring, but classic and nice to listen to!! i actually liked this song a lot, it just lacked pizazz, other than that, i liked it!

8. queen of kings by alessandra (norway)
it was fine! i can't stand that medieval folk song mixed with pop style though, for some reason it really infuriated me to listen to, but other than that i liked her costume + song, and i'm not upset it qualified!! it was a really fun song overall :D

9. dance (our own party) by the busker (malta)
this wasn't my favorite but it also wasn't bad!! i thought the sparkly saxophone was really cool >:3c i was disappointed that it didn't qualify!!

10. mama sc! by let 3 (croatia)
let me be very very VERY clear. i did not like this song. this song was terrible. HOWEVER!! the performance was so unbelievably camp and i loved the outfits and the vibes so i am putting this one higher than the other ones i didn't like. because hey, fine, have a bad song, bUT NEVER HAVE A BORING PERFORMANCE!!! AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE ONE! so this ranking is only at 10 because those funny little men with their silly little mustaches were camp as shit

11. watergun by remo forrer (switzerland)
this song was really corny and had a boring ass performance. it was fine, i guess..... i really didn't like it tbh

12. cha cha cha by kaarija (finland)
this song was FUCKING ASS but at least the performance wasn't boring. it wasn't a good performance!! but it wasn't boring.

13. burning daylight by mia nicolai and dion cooper (netherlands)
just fucking boring. like i got up to get popcorn because of how little i cared about this one.

14. we are one by wild youth (ireland)
boring AND corny. blehhhh.

15. tattoo by loreen (sweden)
i cannot explain how disappointed i am that this song is favored to win. every source says this shit is favored to win. it's. so. bad. the song was so fucking basic and lame and the performance was boring and just plain stupid. i hateddddd itttttt. i just can't stand it! i think it's as low as it is because it may end up being really highly rated or even winning and i would just be so underwhelmed. like why. what the hell. i hated this song. i just. grahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
