Diving Station is a research facility that specializes in the study of strange marine anomalies that were recently discovered. The purpose of the facility is to assess whether or not it is safe to introduce these creatures to the general public. Research conducted at Diving Station is intended to help learn more about the creatures and the risks that they may pose. 

Inside the facility, there is a deep pool connected to the sea where all the creatures reside. Researchers at Diving Station create fishing bait to lure the creatures into their study room, where they can be studied more closely. This includes sessions of physical or psychological therapy, though it doesn't always end well. 

Years after a mysterious event, the dive resort known as Diving Station was left abandoned. Researchers had gone missing and the facility began to decay. Strangely, the water level in the deep pool began to rise and eventually reached the ceiling of the room. This caused the pool to become connected to the main structure of the facility.

Maren is a jellyfish cube who likes sharp things and flesh. Though she is very curious and can appear unsettling to some people, she does not seem to be concerned with how she is perceived. He is confident in her own knowledge and what they are capable of, yet they are also open to exploration and meeting new people. Maren is usually depicted with wide eyes and a serene demeanor, but is able to show a more quarrelsome side when necessary.

Maren was studied in a different way than the other creatures, as he was kept in a specially-made aquarium in it’s own room. The researchers studying her found her language easy to interpret and treated her as their own text subject. This treatment suggests that the researchers valued Maren and her abilities. However, despite their cautiousness, Maren became unhappy and bored with her confinement and yearned to be in the sea like everyone else. 

In a dramatic turn of events, Maren's frustration with their confinement led to the death of several researchers. During this time, Maren discovered that she enjoyed eating flesh, specifically that of the researchers. 

Despite the tragic outcome of her rebellion, Maren managed to meet Sly, a marine lizard. Maren and Sly grew close after she persistently asked it to show him the other side of the sea. Despite Sly's annoyance, Maren promised to leave them alone. Eventually, the two started dating.

Sly is a marine lizard who enjoys sleeping and solitary activities. Upon first impression, Sly appears to thrives on facts over emotion and is very alert. However, underneath this exterior lies a vulnerable and insecure person due to their sheltered life. After meeting Maren, Sly began to exhibit a more kind and considerate side to it’s personality.

Sly was a lonesome creature who liked to hide in the depths of the sea and sleep. Because of this, it was difficult for researchers to capture information about Sly as they were always agile and moved quickly. One day, Sly encountered Maren after she inadvertently woke them up after slaughtering the researchers at the Diving Station. Although Sly was initially annoyed by Maren, they eventually began to take them to other places in the sea at his request. Maren was Sly's first friend, and Sly gradually grew to care for her deeply, eventually leading to the two of them dating.
