I just love early 2000s stuff. I was born in 02 and can only remember small fragments but what i really missed was going downstairs to my older sisters room and asking to play her Playstation 2. I got a very well paying job and was able to buy my own PS2 and a fuckin Sony Trinitron CRT. Thing is an absolute beautiful beast. Photos taken with a 2011 professional camera. Enjoy!

holy shit dude this setup is SICK!! i don't know where to even start?? i grew up using hand-me-downs so both playstations, the TV, the albums, hell even the skateboard is rlly taking me back. the guitar hero is awesome too, super jealous rn. might use this blog as inspiration to make myself a similar setup cause 2000s stuff rocks
Do it man! I'll help you a bit here: Facebook marketplace is a good place to start. Also check ebay, offerup and craigslist. When looking for a CRT you want to use a lot of key words like crt, tube tv, box tv, old tv, sont tv, ect. Look for something with component inputs, they look like red green and blue its the best image quality. They're mostly found on tv's made in the 2000s like mine. Later 2000s crts started becoming HD, you'll want to look into that yourself. The prices will vary from free to absurd amounts like 150, which is what i paid for mine. Im not happy about it, but these types are rare in my area. That's another thing about these tvs, how common they are varies depending on location. As for the ps2, you'll want to look at how different each model is. I bought a model 50001 which has a much quieter fan and faster loading. The console is in a weird spot right now where you can find more/less for cheap/the same/more expensive. Make sure you check every site i listed to make sure you get the most out of your options. You can get component cables for it on amazon. The ps2 is easy to mod if you buy a phat version (before the slim models) just watch a youtube video on it. You can use a hard drive to put as many games as you want if you do so and its so worth it. For any further research, use reddit. check r/ps2 and r/crtgaming. Also add "reddit" at the end of your search. Good luck homie!
