Double Time! (5/5/2023 - 5/6/2023)

My apologies for not posting yesterday, I was on a road trip to Iowa, because my sister’s graduating from college here! To make up for it, today’s blog will be TWICE as long, as I tell you about how my trip has been!

So, how’s it been so far? Well, during the road trip not much happened, but we did get to see the BEAUTIFUL rural Iowa countryside, with the cute, old fashioned house and the lush farmlands! We actually had to stop at one of these houses because the person living there was using her house as a bakery, and my Mom ordered a cake from her to celebrate the graduation! We haven’t tried it yet, because the graduation is today, and it’s only a little after 8 AM for me. 

Anyways, once we got here to Cedar Rapids, we checked into a nice hotel. DoubleTree is a hotel franchise I would greatly recommend, as they’ve served me and my family well for most of our trips. This one in particular had BOTH a bar and a pool, and I think most others have those, so we’re talking 5-star quality here! Our beds were soft, the shower was clean, and the view was AMAZING!

Anyways, we then went to see my sister, and she took us out for pizza, and while I forget the name of the place, the pizza was wonderful, so I suppose I’ll just recommend you sample all the pizza places in Cedar Rapids.

After that, I went swimming, took a shower, then went up to the bar with my family for some drinks (NA, don’t worry), and after a good night, we went to sleep, and now I’m up documenting it all on SpaceHey, so I suppose this is the end. Maybe I’ll tell you how the rest of my trip went tomorrow, when I get home.
