Chakra Gift Theory

Chakra Gift Theory is an axiomatic concept within Naruto that I have created and/or unintentionally stolen. Although a presupposition in my current meta, I have arguments to back this ideology up (see examples)

The concept is meant to better explain the loss of power that manifests directly after a fight in which a character is given chakra directly.

The Theory: chakra that has been gifted to a character will diminish over time and is a limited resource that can be spent.

What this means: Any time a character has been given an outside boost in power through chakra, they have immediately lost their boost when the narrative moves on to another scene post-fight. This applies to chakra only and not added ability (in situations where someone receives an ability separate from the chakra amp). 

Examples:

1. Tailed Beast Modes: Ignoring the small passive amp received from a tailed beast, jinchuriki lose their tails and aura associated with the chakra that they are gifted. A great example is Naruto's one tail form. This boost is not baked into Naruto's base after the Haku fight as he would consistently be mid-high Jonin in base from a physical prowess perspective. This is also seen in the War Arc as Naruto's passing of Kurama chakra to the alliance.
   
2. 100 Healing Seal: Tsunade's seal is a literal deposit of stored chakra into her reserves aka a gift from herself. Despite this, opening the seal seems to be an alternative to a Sage power up (which is notably temporary) as the physical prowess or chakra reserve buff does not cook into Tsunade or Sakura's base. This chakra can be used freely until spent and can even be used to fuel another 100 Healings Seal but cannot continuously give power.
3. Hamura's Buff: Hinata receives chakra from Hamura in the Last in order to help save the world. Even at 10% of Hamura's chakra, this low-ball buff would massively improve Hinata's physical prowess. This is suggested when she aura matches Naruto while he flexes his Kurama chakra. She later goes on to never be noted for her chakra in Boruto and she isn't considered when the task of fighting powerful opponents comes up.
