Trip to McAllen

I recently went on a road trip to McAllen for my brother's soccer tournament...and things happened. So, my family and I woke up at 3 am to avoid catching traffic on our way there. My mom and I prepared like 30 tacos for us and our grandparents (they accompanied us) to eat through the road trip, but in the end, nobody but me ate any, so, yeah...

We arrived at our destination at 7 am, and we went straight to shopping . Our first target was this mall we usually reoccur to when we visit. It's my favorite because there's a Spencer's there and I love going through the shirts they sell and the stupid stuff you usually find there. Sadly, I didn't see anything when we went there, so I was a bit disappointed. THEN A FEW STORES LATER I SAW A CLASSIC SONIC PLUSH READY FOR ME TO PURCHASE I WAS GOING INSANE . The lady at the cash register acted a bit confused when I ran through the store for it, and then awkwardly offered me a Sonic camera that was definitely intended for children. It was a bizarre interaction, but she was doing her job I guess.

That night, I saw a comet for the first time, and oh wow they are beautiful; at first, I thought it was a firework because of its vibrant green and red colors, but after there was no explosion it finally came to me lmao .  After that, we finally arrived at our hotel and immediately went to sleep. It was until morning I realized that a devastating storm had gone through McAllen and I didn't even notice. Electricity posts were hanging from cables and trees were trashed in the ground. Not to mention that some houses suffered major damages from the storm. Then, my brother almost got a heatstroke in one of his matches,  so yeah things were not going well. He and his whole team were exhausted and lost the finals, but I'm still proud of him. His team got second place in the competition!!

After that, we didn't even bother to take a meal before leaving McAllen, we were all tired from the trip and just went straight home. We then realized we hadn't eaten, so we just ordered burgers for takeout from Whataburger. I'll probably come back to McAllen in a few months without my grandparents, so we'll have more freedom in choosing which stores we want to go to next. Until then, here are some pictures of the Sonic plush I got:
