This loneliness rather soothes me more than anything else. It's healing, yet sharp, akin to the sensation of peacefully drowning. It feels like a long walk in a chilly forest. Anger diminishing, yet melancholy and despair rooting in one's own soul. Sadness possesses the scent of damp moss and frozen dirt paths, home at last. Finding comfort in sadness is uncannily similar to hugging an old friend after years spent apart. You have to give up joy, laughter and memories. A plethora of memories. The solace engulfing the word "sadness" is unlike any other. Being empty, yet whole. It's lukewarm. This twisted, unadorned word takes its origin from the term "sad" which has a melodic yet rather pathetic ring to it. "Sadness" emerges from "sad". You emerge from sadness, sadness emerges from you.
