Comparison between 2023 and 2009 Kit the Cat. The new Skelanimals are slightly smaller and have a slightly different design. I think the old design was much cuter. However, the new ones appear higher quality and are MUCH softer! The old Skelanimals were not very soft at all. The new fabric is closer to a short haired Jellycat or Squishmallow in softness (but isn't quite the same as either of those). The design is now sewn on rather than a decal. I don't know which I prefer, as I never had any peeling with the old style even with my white one l I carried everywhere for years and is really gross and worn now in all other respects. It's a mixed bag on which is better, the old ones slightly edge out for me but may be nostalgia. I still think the new ones are worth a purchase if you like them.
