spring sucks

Dear Mother Nature,

Do you need meds or something? I'm serious - car show season is barely a month old, & so far you have skunked almost every single event I've tried to attend.

NO BUENO, BIATCH.

Seriously, I have not been pleased with the weather so far - I've only had maybe 3 nice outings & the rest of them have been either cold, rained out, or both. One of my friends was supposed to race in Maryland last weekend & it got rained out. The last 2 times (including this evening) it was low turnout...wtf!?!

Thank goodness my buds showed up anyway - we took over the pizza shop & showed off the epic video I made 2 weeks ago. I indulged in chicken marsala pizza & it was divine! Seeing my boys again more than made up for the crappy weather earlier in the day.

People sometimes give me weird looks when they find out I'm a gearhead - they think it's weird that my home & work are decorated with a lot (& I mean a LOT) of cars & car pics. Car culture is a world like no other - it's old school rides that I remember from my childhood. It's chrome & steel & loud engines & race fuel. It's laying down a pair of strips & kicking up a cloud of smoke with the pungent scent of burnt rubber. It's the drivers with stories to tell about their dream cars. It's good times spent with nice people, good food, & rock & roll.

It's my life, and I love it.
