Writing is hard

I was writing a plan for a fic and I wrote

"The thought crawled its way into their brain like a"

and I couldn't think of an example to continue the sentence with. So, naturally, I went to Google, and, I kid you not, I searched the following:

"things that crawl disgustingly into other things"

I swear I'm a decent writer, you gotta believe me lol
