TL;DR
A movie adaptation of Super Smash Bros. will be a bad idea as it could just be another copycat of the marvel crossovers.

super smash bros movie? what would be the whole premise it doesnt really make sense D:
plus they kinda already referenced super smash bros in the new super mario bros movie SPOILER AHEAD with the fight scene between dk and mario
Exactly!
And besides, the Smash Bros. lore clearly states that the whole game takes place inside a child's mind.
