okay so the flash game doll chat is still in progress, i've got a lot of research to do ( playing various mh bootleg games of modern day and then using numuki browser to play the original mh games from the website, including some g2 games, i am also debating on if i should include the the g2 botique / salon mobile game but i don't have 14 dollars to drop on unlocking more than frankie and lagoona ) but when that is i will likely link it in this one, and also make a bulletin about it as right now it is a privated diary entry. 

so today we're going to talk about something else

day at the maul is probably among my favourite clothing design for generation one monster high, i don't know, i just love everything about these ghouls.

so then why did i call it haunt the maul? i don't know, it felt more correct to me. i will always call this series haunt the maul in my head. 

day at the maul / killer style frankie and draculaura are probably my faves. 

lets discuss frankie first, shall we? 

i love their doll, i know the doll and the fashion packs are very different because the fashion pack came with waaay more, but oh my claw, look at them! 

their shoes, their pants, their dress, i love the metallic theme kinda carrying through the whole outfit and even making its way into frankie's much lighter makeup! 

their black earrings are also really cute and the ponytail 

as for their fashion pack accessories. . . .

i'll be honest, as a frankdeen shipper, the gold and purple stuff and the things just obviously meant for clawdeen get to me, i've always shipped frankdeen, from generation one to generation three. 

now the storyline of this set, to my knowledge is "gifts for clawdeen wolf!" 

so the two are buying things for clawdeen, but i like to imagine it isn't for any birthday or anything, but because frankie wants to surprise their girlfriend with gifts!

i imagine draculaura buys clawdeen the golden point necklace ( it just feels as though to me this suits clawdeen ), while frankie buys a matching one in blue!

frankie of course, gets clawdeen a bunch of various gifts.

but what about their fashion?

frankie is stitched together with style in this set!

i love their voltageous black blue silver shoes, their stitched argyle leggins, and of course, the familar silver vest and blue dress! 

black and silver earrings, a black, blue and lighting zapped purse, the red bracelet, they're ready to dump all of their money on clawdeen! 

but what about draculaura?

this is among one of my favourite draculauras, i want her outfit to fit me so bad, i need these clothes for my irl human body. 

again, i love the lighter makeup used here, kinda taking in the light pink from her shoes and earrings and the top of her skirt.

 i love her skirt, her socks, her top, her outfit is jusrt stunning.

straight black with of course pink streaks throughout, primarily notable in the bangs, and in the back ( as in not visible in the picture, but the layer over the front facing back we can see ) 

she's just adorable. 

anyways discussing her fashion pack appearance, draculaura comes with a pink drink, i will personally headcanon it as pink lemonade. 

her iconic pink purse, beautiful, cute, perfection, need it irl. 

her shoes, i love the silver, they're pretty much identical to the killer style / day at the maul doll, but in with a silver heel that really stands out and looks adorable!

the pink hair clip, also adorable! 

her earrings!! <3 

overall i could gush about this fashion pack and doll release forever, i desperately need them

and while not quite the same, because it is still maul themed, i will put it as an honourable mention . . . 

the maul monsteristas, they're both much later in the monster high timeline and were branched of a completely separate scrapped idea which i actually much preferred and wished came into fruition ( the tie-in fraidie hopkins set for i only have eye for you )

also from the actual maul era again, i'll mention, the maul session packs! technically the fashion pack clawdeen and operetta belong here but i included them in killer style as their dolls were apart of killer style
