im in no way a professional spaceheyer but those eyestrain 'scenecore' layouts that people use are SO butt ugly
theyre almost always incomprehensible and have some random breakcore blasting in the background,, most of them arent even in the style of early 2000s scene its just a shit ton of rainbows and flashing lights with zero warning whatsoever. it doesnt only hurt mine (and presumably others) eyes, but can also be HELLA dangerous to people on here who might be epileptic or anything of the sort. also (as said before) its just ugly looking
you can live your rawr x3 life without endangering the lives of others

It's just like super annoying, like when your layout is to busy people cant even see the buttons of the page its a little too much. Total flashbang to see when in the dark too

frr I got trouble looking at white or bright images for too long or when people got really loud music on their page or those very fast repeating gifs and then they lay them down in a line all flashing, they're nice pages i can't lie just can't look at them for long or just too overwhelming also bright text on bright backgrounds is hard to read so you gotta highlight it, i've seen people have little popup warnings but not many

If they put some sort of warning i think it would be okay but when i see those profiles sometimes i have to click off because of how badly it hurts my eyes. And sometimes i cant read what the text says, it sucks because that person could be really cool n shit but some profiles are jut too much for me :P

I think it's good that ppl are expressing themselves but keeping things accessible is also still rlly important ^^;;

That's why I prefer darker layouts. I get migraines pretty easily, so it's a safe bet.

Being old enough to have fond memories of MySpace back during the emo/scene thing, I die a little on the inside when I come across those profiles. Sure, we all had rainbow vomit, blingees, sparkle gifs, and whatever other abomination of graphic design we could get our hands on, but it feels like kids these days (and it does mostly seem to be the under 21 crowd that has them) have just taken it to some other level. I know part of it is just that monitors/screens are better these days and can display more colours, but goddamn. Makes me wanna go code a few "old school" scene layouts lol

Aha! Honestly, most of us have developed at least a few defensive mechanisms to protect against the worst offenders lol I personally still keep my browser muted to this day out of habit after one too many crunkcore song jump scares.
And that'd be cool to see them when you're done!

UR SO RIGHT LOL.. i dont say it too much in fear ppl will take it the wrong way or i’ll sound too Harsh but like some layouts on here are so impossible to look at like it literally feels like my head is going to.implode.. i absolutely LOVE colorful layouts & i think it rly is NOT that hard to have a colorful layout that doesn’t make me feel like my eyes are bleeding but i Digress.. a lot of those eyestrain layouts r so hard to read like font-wise they either use a font that looks like children scribble or the font color is too bright or too close to the color of the layouts background or whatever ;; i just dont understand how anyone can look at those kinds of layouts for more than 30 seconds LOL. if u like eyestrain layouts then all power to u Bro but at least put a warning First??? i dont want to open ur page & be jumpscared by flashing rainbows & glitches & 90 different types of color sequences that you have embedded into the background of ur layout like Dude.give me a Break….
absolutely!! ive seen tiktok posts of new spacehey users with those flashy layouts who get SO upset at being asked for a FW on their profile, and proceed to blame it on 'cringe culture', like dude no. people dont care abt the fact that you like that certain aesthetic, its the fact that you are willingly being ignorant to the safety of those who come on ur acc..
