Ikebukuru West Gate Park is the best old j-drama i've watched ahfahsfablbrb

I'm not talking about the anime-- i haven't and will not be watching that simply because it doesn't look as cool. 

My favorite thing about Ikebukuru West Gate Park (IWGP) is how WEIRD it is.. I mean the filming? the music? the plot? Takashi?! they are all so hilariously strange and I love it so so so much. 

The one thing I don't really like is the outdated toxic-masculinity-driven views on woman:( But even then, there were many really well done female characters and the show generally had a pretty diverse cast!

This drama started out as a funny gangster drama but got really serious at the end.. I can't spoil anything but episode 11 GOT me 

My favorite character was Takashi for sure.. every time he came on screen I got so happy because he was just so weird and adorable. 

They also had a trans character and he was represented sooo welll!!! I was genuinely impressed by his portrayal and I was so happy how the characters treated him. 

Anyways, anyone reading this should watch IWGP for sure !!! It's available on Netflix and maybe other platforms idk...

Even if your not sure u should try it because it soooo goooodddd
