Context
OMORI is one of my favorite indie games, and I've been wanting to have a go at making a fully 3D rendition of Headspace for VRChat so I can hang out there with my friends. This blog is where i'll post all my updates on the project. I'll probably tag each entry ([Small update], [Medium update], etc.) so you know what to expect.
What makes it so different from other OMORI VRChat worlds?
Over the course of developing this world I've seen a few other headspace worlds pop up, and while I really liked them, I felt like they weren't that accurate or looked that good (with the exception of that one with the neighbors room from the concept art). My world aims to be as accurate as possible while still looking pretty good, although I've had to make some changes for the sake of usability and comfort. I'm placing every single thing by hand, using the in-game world as reference. Every single asset was made by me, with the exception of the sound effects and music which are both from the game, and a few prefabs.
The plan is to make it as similar to the actual game as possible. For example: Letting each person select their “character type” if they’re in the world with other people, so each person has the abilities of each of the characters (person A can cut stuff, person B can throw stuff, person C can hit stuff, person D can charm stuff) and they have to actually work together to reach places.

ps: Sorry for the broken lighting :) haven't gotten around to re-baking it yet

Missing notebook, laptop, mewo and red hands.
Neighbor's Room
The cat's eyes follow you as you move around the room.
Space In-Between
Pyrefly Forest
This is where unfinished and barely started areas start to appear. They are fully decorated once I'm satisfied with them and finish making all the assets and the layout.

Docks
They loop around, like in the game
