So there aren't a lot of posts on here about acupuncture or herbal medicine, which has me a bit shy about talking about my work... I wouldn't want to kill a good vibe with my particular brand of enthusiasm for what I do.
Also, that niche I was talking about earlier? This is that lonely place, that "party of one".
I tend to be very pragmatic, but my colleagues are very wrapped up in strict binaries: either you agree with everything I say or you're an enemy. And that's not really a way to live a life or run a practice. I personally like to answer some questions or talk philosophy. So many people I run into love sharing information.
Like, people are people man. We can chill out a little bit without making things weird.
I'm critical of the field as well (as an expert who wants it to stay on the up-and-up). Less critical-critical and more constructive-criticism critical. And now the word's gone wonky.
And that's the part that'll alienate my co-workers, because they really want you to cosign some stuff that I don't think belongs in traditional medicine. It can borderline on dangerous, which is the last thing anyone needs.
So I won't agree that there are miracle cures or that 5G is dangerous (it's fine), and all of a sudden, it's some "you'll never work in this town again" crap. Um, what happened to us just throwing needles? Do we not do that anymore, or...?
Anyway, maybe someone out there wants a reasonable discussion, get some questions answered, or just chill out. There are tons of traditional medicines around the world, and there's a good reason we study them.
