omh yYIPPE. didz i ever rant to u about that kant lecture i was listening to that one time?? i gotta find my notes for that junk because man it was rlly intresting. currentl y im reading a chapter in the book [making sense, sam harris] its about consciousness and it's really interesting. its a very good book!! but back to conscious , so its like this MASSIVE philospchial question, and your prolly thinkin. Gamz. what question. wtf
well . thr r SO many questions!! some easier and some near imposible, like how does it work? who is conscious and how do we tell? what is the critera?
and i been thinkin. is something that isnt conscious, say lets apply zombie theory , [the theroy that others are not conscious] would zombie me be able to talk about conscious? would they be aware it exists? in that chapter theres a really good basic def. of conscious, basically a chess ai, is the best chess player in the world, however it is not aware of chess as a whole, it knows qhat the bishop is but is it *aware*? I tened to think of awareness as a close relative to conscious but its not the case
