My first ever post here will recount my experience watching Trolls with my partner and 8 month old daughter skdksks SO

maybe an hour into the movie -

partner: “oh gosh she’s doing a voice;  guess who plays that character.”

me staring at the screen as a bergen sings a ballad with crazy good vocal range: “…Adele?🤔”

partner: “what??? NO, she’s doing a really good job of voicing this character, her vocals are surprisingly good, but no, she’s an sitcom actress not known for her singing.”

me: “…Krysten Ritter?”

partner: “who??”

me: “I don’t- ugh, just tell me because it’s gonna drive me nuTS.”

movie proceeds to have us find justin timbrlake’s character standing against a mirror-

justin timberlake: “SINGING KILLED MY GRANDMA!”

me: “OH MY GOD WHAT”

I died laughing then upon revival…

partner: “ok, so, she sings the theme song to her show.”

me: “is…is it any of the nickelodeon shows?”

partner: “what, no, come on, think.”

me: “…”

me: “…”

me: “…”

me: “wAIT…WHO’S THAT GIRL?”

me and partner: “IT’S JESS!”
